Wow, seven years. Right now, there are tens of thousands of children heading off to kindergarten who hadn't even been born yet. I wonder what the ages are of the youngest who can remember? I recall watching the news with my parents the day that Reagan was shot. I was six at the time. Seven years... and I thought by now that NYC would surely have more to show for all the planning and bickering than just a subway station and a big hole in the ground. Minneapolis has almost finished rebuilding a major bridge in 15 months. It took until May 17th of this year for the Freedom Tower's frame to make it to street level. At this rate, they'll be lucky to have it complete in ANOTHER seven years. :/ ...and I still think they should have just taken the old blueprints, updated them to current code, and gotten to work putting the skyline back. NEVER FORGET. Tags: 9/11 Current Mood: pensive
